Summary
In the bind In Defense of Prejudice: Why Incendiary dialect Must Be Protected Jonathan Rauch ranges that no matter how a lot people wants to stop prejudice, it is nearly impossible to stop. Rauchs touch sensation that people have the freedom to express and say whatsoever they want, for they have the right too. Before getting into it, it is important to hit the hay the authors background. Jonathan Rauch is a gay Jewish man, who is a journalist and activist, thereof he understand this topic very well.
First he dialogue about how m any schools did not allow any prejudice and how to avoid it. Second, nobody cannot stop prejudice because in the back of everyone head, they be racist even though they say that they are not. Thirdly, how banning anything to do with prejudice is stupid. Fourthly, he talks about how this world is made up of racist people.
gumption then there was a lot debates on getting rid of prejudice for good, but it was nearly impossible to do so because no matter what people think or say, they will al ways be prejudices against someone else.
Rauch said that erstwhile a person were to grow up they will last come to realize that nobody are the same and thats when racist, sexist, and all the hate will start. Schools back then taught students that be homosexual is a disease, and how certain race are to be, so then whatever the student is learning is to be prejudices against those who are homosexual or those who have different skin color. also they were taught what was considered as good and bad. Students are told what to believe and especially at a time they are around their teenage years, they will discover ways to say things to hurt others.
